Welcome to our 10th Biennial “Amethyst Anniversary: A Gem of a Show” Quilt Show. We think you will love what you see. One of the unique things about the Silver Threads Quilt Guild is that not only do many of our members live in this area permanently, but many members reside in other states for part of the year. This part of Colorado is a wonderful place to spend the summer and fall, and our members return year after year. We are pretty sure we are the only quilt show in America that is held in an underground mine! It couldn’t happen without the way the entire community works to make this such an outstanding show. Enjoy the show as much as we enjoy putting it on!

Raffle quilt proceeds support our community!  We thank you for your support This years raffle quilt is Dinner Plate Dahlia. The revenue from ticket sales allows us to fund many community projects, which include local fire departments, quilts for Veterans, and charities to help those in need, to name a few.   2021’s quilt proceeds went to the Creede Food Bank (Silver Thread Public Health), South Fork/Del Norte Food Bank, and the Lake City Volunteer Fire Department.

Visitors are encouraged to vote for their favorite quilt in each of the 1 categories. The Viewer’s Choice winning quilts will be sporting their ribbons on Sunday. Visitors on Friday and Saturday may attend FREE on Sunday with their ticket from either previous day.

Nancy Fuca started sewing when she was a small child and has been quilting since about 1982. After taking that first quilting class, she just couldn’t stop taking more and more classes and making more and more quilts and quilt tops. Nancy says she can’t pick a favorite quilt technique or quilting specialty because she loves them all! She is an NACQJ Certified Quilt Judge who has judged local, regional, and international quilt shows. She also teaches and lectures on various quilting topics.
