2021 Quilt Show

Welcome to “Quilting Through the Ages”!

Welcome to our 9th Biennial “Quilting Through the Ages” Quilt Show. We think you will love what you see. One of the unique things about the Silver Threads Quilt Guild is that not only do many of our members live in this area permanently, but many members reside in other states for part of the year. This part of Colorado is a wonderful place to spend the summer and fall, and our members return year after year. We are pretty sure we are the only quilt show in America that is held in an underground mine! It couldn’t happen without the way the entire community works to make this such an outstanding show. Enjoy the show as much as we enjoy putting it on! For third year we are showing vintage quilts, be sure and look for them near the large quilts.

Our Judge

Nancy Fuca started sewing when she was a small child and has been quilting since about 1982. After taking that first quilting class, she just couldn’t stop taking more and more classes and making more and more quilts and quilt tops. Nancy says she can’t pick a favorite quilt technique or quilting specialty because she loves them all! She is an NACQJ Certified Quilt Judge who has judged local, regional, and international quilt shows. She also teaches and lectures on various quilting topics. Not content to stay idle during the pandemic, Nancy made over 3,000 face masks for friends, family, and Operation Bandana New Mexico and now has a giant pile of scraps for her next quilting project.
