April Fool’s day is over and it is time that we are looking forward to Easter and spring making its way into our world. Snow is still falling occasionally but the weather is warming. It is always nice to see the plants returning to life. Green grass returning, leaves budding out in the woods. Though this may not be the case in the mountains yet, it is happening in other parts of our country and will be happening in the mountains soon.

We had a nice turn out for the beginning class(s) held in Creede March 5th & 12th.  Those taking the class learned a lot and most were nearly finished piecing their table runners. I believe they had a good time and felt accomplished. Thank you Anne Strong for coordinating this event along with the other members that helped.  Another beginning class is being planned for June.

Guild members were given the opportunity to send their votes in for the categories to one of the three show directors during March. Tammie, Vi and Irene should be making an announcement on the official categories for the 2023 Quilt Show soon.

Happy Quilting
