Can you believe it—August is here. The quilt show is next month. Time to get your projects completed. Included in this newsletter is the schedule for the quilt show so make sure you
have the different events on your calendar.
As you probably read in a recent e-mail, June Deatherage passed away a few days after having knee surgery. We will certainly miss her. She has quilts in progress for the quilt show. Hopefully, we guild members will be able to get them finished. There will be two memorial quilt displays at the quilt show honoring Tricia MacDonald and June Deatherage.
Do you have the annual guild retreat on your calendar? If you don’t, I hope you will consider joining us at the Beaver Creek Youth Camp in South Fork on August 26-28. It is lots of fun and a great time getting to know our fellow guild members. You can sew on projects for the Treasure Trove/guild or bring your own project to work on. The cost is $35 per night. If you don’t feel like you can spend the night, you can always come and sew with us during the day. We will be breaking our group into two groups for breakfast preparation. Lunch is on your own. For our evening meal we will be going out or using curbside pickup. picking it up from a local restaurant.
Hope to see y’all at our August meeting. In the meantime, keep smiling and quilting.
