Hi Quilters,
We had a fun meeting in January, cutting kits and sewing Wheelchair and Walker
Caddies which were requested by Homelake Veterans center in Monte Vista.
Instructions attached courtesy of Vi Koch and Irene Garrett.
For the February meeting, Vi Koch and Irene Garrett will be bringing the many
bins of donated fabric from our storage unit to sort out the fabrics by color,
separate fabrics good for other Treasure Trove projects, and to remove nonquilting
fabrics. They made a trip to Kathy’s Trunk in Monte Vista for their sale
and purchased neutral fabrics to go with these fabrics so we can turn the bins
into charity quilt kits.
Anyone who would like to take a bin home and put together some kits would be
appreciated. The goal is to have charity quilt kits in the cabinets in both Creede
and South Fork so you can grab them and work on them there or take them home
with you.
Our winter schedule has begun (December – March)…
All meetings at Creede Baptist Church starting at 10:30 am…
All sewing or cutting or whatever you want to do…
No business meeting (unless you need to discuss something)…
Bring your sewing machines and supplies to work on charity quilts…
Bring your lunch…
I am looking for ideas of new items to make for the 2020 Treasure Trove. Please
send me an email if you have any suggestions… Thanks!

Beth
