President’s Comments
Hi Quilters,
The next meeting is July 18 at the Baptist Church in Creede
and is Christmas in July, so come ready for fun and bring an apron for the
present exchange.
Following lunch, many in the group are planning to head up to Lake
City for the Arts and Crafts Festival open until 5, so I hope to see some of you up on
my turf. A busy summer is upon us with so many people on the road. I guess
that means we need to spend more time sewing and hiking!
At the June meeting Janice Torres gave us a great demo on painting
fabric with Inktense crayons. I’m going to have to get brave and try that.
July 13,10-12 at the Baptist Church in Creede, Marcie Vitopil will give
a demo on Confetti Landscape Quilting like her aspen tree quilt from last years
quilt show. I can’t wait…
