Many of our members have returned to the Silver Thread area and most will be here in June. Wishing safe travels to all of our members who are traveling during the month. Looking forward to seeing you at our June meeting.
We will be making fleece blankets to donate to Carson Woolfe’s Eagle Scout project during our June meeting. He is hoping to have 100 40”x60” single layer fleece quilts to fill backpacks to give to children in need or being transported to medical facilities. If you cannot make it to our June meeting, they will be working on making blankets for this project at Kathy’s Fabrics on June 12. If you have any fleece suitable for children that could be used for this project, bring it to the June 15th meeting.
This is the beginning of a fun-filled and busy summer for our guild. The quilt show will be here before we know it. I hope you are looking forward to participating in the many activities of the guild this summer.
At our May meeting, we decided to begin having hostesses again for our meetings beginning with the June 15 meeting. The hostesses will be responsible for lunch and the door prize.
I will be attaching the Quilt Show Entry Form to the newsletter e-mail so you will have it handy. You can make as many copies as you need for your quilts. Complete one form per quilt.
In the meantime, keep smiling and quilting.
