April showers bring May flowers and spring arriving in the mountains. Many of our members are returning or preparing to return to the Silver Thread area during May. It is so fun to
renew our friendships and see everyone this time of year.
This past Wednesday, Carolyn and Don Flood, Karen Ferguson, Beth and Jesse Kendall, Vi Koch and Linda Wood spent the morning cleaning our storage unit. They cleaned and discarded
a few things that were never going to be used again, rearranged, items in the unit and made room for the new poles and drapes we purchased for the vendor’s area. The new poles and drapes were recently delivered to Pat Miller’s home. Don and Carolyn Flood have moved the new poles/drapes to the storage unit ready for the show. Thanks to all for your help.
I hope you have been working on your quilts for the show and items for the Treasure Trove. This is going to be a busy summer for us. I believe after the past year of quarantine/isolation we will be happy to get together and prepare for the upcoming quilt show.
I will be attaching the Quilt Show Entry Form to the newsletter e-mail so you will have it handy. You can make as many copies as you need for your quilts. Complete one form per quilt.
As of this moment, I am not aware of what the program will be for the May meeting. Unless you receive another e-mail from the guild announcing the program, plan to bring a project to work on or there will be Treasure Trove projects available for you to work on. For the next few months we will continue to bring our own lunch for the meeting.
In the meantime, keep smiling and quilting.
