Hi—
The mountains are golden yellow and the winds of change are around starting to blow. Many of our members have returned to our winter homes and many remain in Colorado to enjoy the
beauty of the mountains.
I love to see the decorations that Halloween brings to mind. There is a wide variety of fall and Halloween quilts and decorator items we can make and enjoy this time of year. There
are so many fun options it is hard to choose which project to make.
The October guild meeting will be held October 20 at the Creede Baptist Church. Vi Koch and Beth Kendall will be presenting a program on hand applique. Vi will show how you can applique
using templates. Beth will teach the needle turn applique technique. As is our new normal, we ask that you wear a mask at the meeting. Please bring your own food and drink.
Vi presented a program on Quilts of Valor. One of our primary charities is Home Lakes Veteran Home. She had kits available for us to take home to make veteran’s themed quilts.
In September, Pat Miller announced that the Church of the South Fork is no longer available for our guild meetings because of church scheduling conflicts. A new location for our meetings in
South Fork was discussed.
Have a great October. Hope you and your family are safe and healthy. Happy quilting,
