2021 brought many memorable moments for all of us, most importantly for the guild was a successful quilt show during trying times. Now it is time to “Bring on 2022 . . .” with the anticipation of new goals, new adventures, and new friends.
This newsletter brings many exciting announcements for the guild. One important announcement is that the guild will be offering a beginning quilt class March 5 and 19. What a great opportunity for us to teach our art to new aspiring quilters.
A theme for the 2023 quilt show has been determined. “Silver Thread Quilt Guild Amethyst Anniversary – a Gem of a Show”. In my search for information on the amethyst, I learned it that it
is a precious stone consisting of a violet or purple variety of quartz. The meaning of Amethyst is “not intoxicated”. The spiritual meaning of amethyst is groundedness, tranquility and calm. How appropriate after the past couple years.
It is with great excitement that I can announce that we have two co-chairs for the 2023 quilt show. Vi Koch and Tammy Sundin have agreed to co-chair and lead us as we all prepare together for another quilt show. Thank you ladies.
Lets—bring on 2022!!!
